Fly Me To The Moon

I’ve been inspired by the lyrics of this song and decided to make my own inspiration “poster”. I used the fonts: Arial and FFF Tusj. I also used a couple textures, courtesy of Shadowhouse Creations.

Don’t you wish you could fly to the moon and sing among the stars?

I do.

What words inspire you?

Give Yourself Permission To Live Out Loud

Living Out Loud

[Font:Adler; Digital Kits: KD Sun Kissed (patterned paper and accent flowers), KD Digi Essentials (stitches), KD Digi Essentials (alpha brushes) – all by Karla Dudley.]

Today I ask you to please:

Give yourself permission to reach for the rainbow.
Give yourself permission to dream big and aspire to make all your dreams come true.
Give yourself permission to climb mountains and run marathons and lie by the beach with a book.
Give yourself permission to love truly and unconditionally and utterly.
Give yourself permission to be loved, appreciated and even admired.
Give yourself permission to laugh until you are in tears.
Give yourself permission to cry your heart out and go through an entire box of tissues.
Give yourself permission to wear nice clothes, wear make up and do your hair, even if you stay at home.
Give yourself permission to go to work in your flip flops, no make up and feel beautiful.
Give yourself permission to make silly faces.
Give yourself permission to express your thoughts and ideas.

Give yourself permission to live out loud.

Because any other way of living is a waste of time.

What are you going to give yourself permission to do today? I urge you to share and hold yourself accountable to at least one token of loud living.

Life Is All About Living

[Font: Morado Sharp; Digital Alpha Brushes: Digi Essentials 5 by Karla Dudley]

I often ponder what is life all about?

I am always looking for an extraordinary purpose or a “bigger than life” goal.

I usually get frustrated. I feel small. I feel weak.

Then I realize that life is all about living.

Life is not about reaching the landmark but about each and every step you take.

Life, at the moment is hectic and overwhelming and challenging.

I find it difficult do go to sleep because I feel like staying awake may freeze time.

I dread tomorrows.

Then I pause.

Take a deep breath.

And remind myself that life is all about living.

It is about enjoying the moment.
It is about appreciating everything I have.

Being grateful for my wonderful relationship with my husband.
Being thankful for my amazing family and awesome friends.

Life is all about living. Life is awesome.

So please bear with me…

Today I Remember

Remembrance

My Pledge

Today I remember and I pledge to never forget.

I remember the horrors of the holocaust and how it had touched my own family.

I also pledge to remember its lessons.

I pledge not to remain silent when a human being is suffering.
I pledge to always love a person for being a person.
I pledge to never judge a person by any other measures but the deeds of that person.

If you want to join me in that pledge – feel free to copy and paste the following html code into your personal blogs.

In light of the coming new year, I backtracked a little bit and gathered the most popular posts on creativity Prompt in 2009.

Without further ado, here are posts which attracted most of your attention and sparked a wonderful conversation – either on the blog or privately, via e-mails.

  1. The Value Of Optimism.
  2. Dare!
  3. You Are Great.
  4. Life Happens.
  5. Make The Most Out Of Your Present.
  6. Hello Diversity, You Are Very Welcome!
  7. You Never Fail You Are Just Delayed.
  8. Speak As Your Next Word Will Be Your Last.
  9. Remember & Never Forget.
  10. Today Is The Day.

This is the time to announce that there will not be any more inspiration prompts on Creativity Prompt. In 2010 and onwards I would like to concentrate on more scrapbooking, card-making and craft projects as well as on story telling.

Inspiration Prompt – List Your Wins As They Happen

List Your Wins

Optimism and positivity are priceless. A person that can always see the glass half full is a happy person.

Many times the ability to find the pro in every con is retrospective.

Only after the fact, after the initial burst of anger and frustration, we are able to take a step back, relax, reexamine the situation and realize it’s all for the best, and it is perfectly OKAY.

However, it is the ability to stay optimist in real time that really improves our quality of life and keeps us happier and more content in general.

“Being negative is easy. There will always be a downside to everything good, a hurdle to everything desirable, a con to every pro. The real courage is in finding the good in what you have, the opportunities in every hurdle, the pros in every con.”
Carolyn Hax

Try to change the way you look at things, to change your perspective and always see the positive in any given situation. Start today and try to make it work in real time by listing your wins. Find all the half full glasses in your day and list them as they are served to you…

If this exercise succeeds, make it a habit!
