Friday freebie – Fancy Journaling Labels

April 2nd, 2010 by Avital

Free Journaling Labels
This week I am sharing a set of FREE fancy journaling labels with you guys (for personal use only).

To download it simply click on the image (or the link) and if it doesn’t work try to right-click on it and opt for the “save target as…” option (it may be phrased a bit differently on different operating systems).

I hope you like it and have lots and lots and lots of fun with it.

Make sure you didn’t miss the rest of the free printables on Creativity Prompt.

Now, seriously, I have asked a few times what other printables would you like me to share with you (If I can, I’ll do my best to make them). PLEASE don’t be shy and tell me by leaving a comment.

Unleashing The Creative Child Within You
Back when we were kids creativity came naturally to us. Everything was possible and our prolific imagination was the only limit we knew.
Through the years we have grown apart from our inner creative child and along with that – have lost our pristine and utter joy of creation.

In this e-book I will pave your way back to your inner creative child, brick by brick.

“Unleashing The Creative Child Within You” will explain why you became distant from your core creativity and will reveal the secret to getting it back.
With exercises designed specifically to help you find the inner child within you, regain its confidence and unleash it – you are bound to get your mojo back faster than you think.

Your inner creative child wants to come out and play, so don’t disappoint it and get “Unleashing The Creative Child Within You“.

Your labels are lovely! Thank you!

  3. Gina says:

What label paper does one print these on or is there some other method you use to affix them to what you are labeling with them?

    • Avital says:

I use plain cardstock and affix this with permanent adhesive (Such as the Tombow Mono permanent dots adhesive or the Glue Arts glue gun) BUT you may also print it on inkjet 8 1/2″ by 11″ sticker sheets you may find at any office supply stores or on sticky-back canvas by Claudine Hellmuth, that you may find in craft/scrapbooking stores (on the side bar you have links to stores that carries it).

Thanks so much for the free journaling printables.

Since you asked I’d really love to see a circular journaling spot with the grid pattern.

Thanks again for sharing your creations.

    • Avital says:

Hey Karen – thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely make a set like that and will do my best to make it “punchable” 🙂

(I have already designed the sets for next week and the week after that – so this would go right after that).

  7. Dee says:

I love these labels! I like that you had lines on only some of them, as I’ll probably stamp an image or phrase in the blank ones.

  8. Lacie E says:

these are sooooo cute thanks for sharing your talent 🙂

  9. Bec says:

Thank you so much for these!!

I am going to use mine to label my albums.
I’ll print them on cardstock then type or use mini alphas to affix the details of the album and then laminate and adhere to the spines and fronts of the albums.

I would love to see more like the shabby chic style with flowers and birds etc and also vintage images or borders.

    Thanks again!!

That’s a great idea! Thank you for sharing.

Next week I’ll share a set of “lacey” labels 🙂

  10. […] Printable labels I’m already using these. Ok, lie. I’m GOING to use them, tomorrow. I printed them and am planning on using them to designate prices on treats in our church cafe. Sales just went up. […]

Thank you for the free items. I came here from Write. Click. Scrapbook. I am working on a graphic for my HTML class and I will use one of these elements as part of my entry graphic for the class project.

    Thanks a lot!

  16. Shannon says:

I love this set, but need it in brown. Can I change the color?

    • Avital says:

If you got Photoshop or Photoshop Elements it’s possible, although it’s a bit tricky…

      1. Open the pdf file with photoshop.
      2. Open a new layer underneath the file layer.
      3. Make sure your file layer is highlighted and pick the white in the file, using the magic wand tool.
      4. Press delete.
      5. From the menu bar choose “Edit” =>”Fill in layer” => choose “color” and change it to any color you want.
      6. Fill in the “preserve transparency” check box and click “apply” or “ok”.

If the last 2 steps don’t work for you, try to press CTR+U or CMD+U and change the hue and saturation settings.

      I hope that helps you!

      Cheers!

    • Shannon says:

I was able to change the color; thanks for the tip! I will post pics after I finish my project 🙂

  17. […] haben es mir die Monatsminis angetan.• Für das Album zum Geburtstag meine Freundin habe ich diese Journalingspots benutzt. Ich habe sie allerdings schwarz eingefärbt und dann auf Kraftcardstock […]

  18. Sara says:

Am I able to change the color when I want to print? Can I also add text in?

    • Avital says:

You may do that with a photo editing software such as Photoshop. Search for ‘how to manipulate’ in the side bar search tool to learn how.
