Optimism is most needed in times when it is very hard to get. I am really in owe for you people, who are able to grasp optimism in difficult times like these.

What a timely post. I am currently at my parents home, my father having entered Hospice care about 3 weeks ago. He is the most optomistic person I know and an inspiration to be around. My husband on the other hand, is always negative. So I am caught in the middle. Being here, with my parents renews my desire to be around positive people and relearn those lessons.

my glas is always half full. i got it as a present from my late husband, who, when he died less than two years ago, after a lost war to cancer, made me understand exactly what you brought in your post.
because only when you lose what you thought was yours forever, you understand that you have to value what you have. each and every day.

Thank you for your kind comment. I can definitely understand your “glass perception”. It is a fast paced world, that means that some people (myself included) need to work harder for optimism.

I’m glad I could inspire you and help you through a rough day at work.

Optimism has immense value, but it isn’t easy to live by it – day in and day out. Everyone needs a reminder, here and there, in order to steer clear from pessimists and pessimism.
