It isn't weird at all... It's actually kind of the point in this exercise (as you can see on Monday). A career change is definitely not a failure!!! :)

Is it weird that I don't think I ever really failed? I mean, I went through a big career change - but I don't necessarily see that as a failure. Just as growth and change of direction.

Thank you very much for sharing - I really appreciate that and this is the exact result I was aiming for. On Monday I will try to change the way we think about failures...

If it means anything, I think you are definitely not a failure but rather a great success story - you have achieved soooo much - it is remarkable. I am happy you are starting to see that for yourself :)

Hi Taly,

Thanks for today's journalling prompt on failure, I clicked through from facebook.

i did the journalling, following the questions, because when I read them I knew I'd feel better about what I had in the past labelled as failures, and sure enough voila I know have a much more positive view on them.

I sold my house because I didn't get the payrise I felt I was due, I did make €85,000 which, 2 years later is all gone, I considered this as a failure because I didn't have a return on my money!
What this has taught me is several things, I now have confidence in my own skills, and am getting better and better at asking for what I want. I also have a far improved relationship with money - earlier this year I identified a self limiting belief that if I had money it meant I was a bad person! This was at an unconsious level and I've turned this belief around considerably.
I continue to take positive action towards achieving my dreams, and one of the key learnings I got from this process was that this example my seem like a failure, but actually it's and indicator of my success- 12 years ago I was homeless and unemployed, my life today is light years from that reality that once was!

Thank you
