Inspiration Prompt – Believe In Your Rainbows

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

I have not lived long enough to become old and wise but I have noticed that whenever I truly believe in something, and do whatever I can to capture my dream, it comes true.

Sometimes it happens right away. Most times it takes a while to get there. But if you keep believing, there comes a time that IT happens and everything falls right into place.

When you lose hope you usually extinguish the ember, but as long as you believe you are keeping it burning until the fire is up.

It takes patience, belief, hard work and persistence. I didn’t say it just miraculously happens…
However, it does happen if you give it a chance.

I have stumbled upon this quote by Gerald G. Jampolsky, MD:

As a child I was told and believed that there was a treasure buried beneath every rainbow.
I believed it so much that I have been unsuccessfully chasing rainbows most of my life.
I wonder why no one ever told me that the rainbow and the treasure were both within me.

I love it!

Chasing rainbows is the underlying idea behind believing in your dreams and knowing that it is already within you to succeed, is the rudimentary understanding that will get you to the treasure.

Inspiration Prompt – The Founding Power Of Your Thought

Positive Thinking

Our mind is extremely powerful. It has the ability to not only analyze our feelings but to found and form them as well. When we think positively everything we do satisfies and fills us with great pleasure and content. When we think that we are sorry little beings we live down to our expectation and measurement.

I am not the first to mention it. Oh no. This notion is as old as humanity itself. Greater and smarter people had taught it times and again, but still it is difficult to implement it on the everyday.

There are so many excuses for not taking this old advice. We do not want to sound vein. We do not want to raise “the evil eye“. We do not want to delude ourselves nor others. We should be realistic. It is much easier teaching about positive thinking than to actually let ourselves think positively when everything seem so negative and wrong. We live in a harsh world.

So many excuses to keep us away from happiness and self fulfillment. None of the excuses is tangible.

For this week’s inspiration prompt I ask you to take a minute and ponder about the founding power of our thought and then use it for empowerment and growth.

Remember:

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are,
or where you are, or what you are doing
that makes you happy or unhappy.
It is what you think about.”
Dale Carnegie

Inspiration Prompt #33 – The Value Of Optimism

Monday, January 5th, 2009

“No pessimists ever discovered the secret of the stars,
or sailed to an uncharted land,
or opened a new heaven to the human spirit. “
Hellen Keller

The Glass Is Half Full

Is the glass half full or half empty? This is a matter of our state of mind. Nevertheless, this disposition is crucial to our day-to-day life.

As Hellen Keller had stated so beautifully, optimism is an enabler.

Optimism empowers us and sparks us with the spirit of free living. Optimism shuts down our self critic and urging us to go farther and farther with no worries and no self doubt.

Optimism is asking what can go fantastically right all the time. Optimism is smiling even if a reason for a smile is yet to present itself. Optimism is sipping the intoxicating life around us in big, excited gulps. Optimism is knowing that we can and we will and nothing is going to stop us.

For this week’s inspiration prompt I am inviting you to the fantastic land of the optimists.
