Step By Step Lunch

[Font: Erika Ormig; Digital Kit: KD Jillian by Karla Dudley.]

It may feel overwhelming to keep track of everything you do throughout the day.

However, if you break it down and follow only one activity at a time – it’s SO easy.

Today try to record just one thing – your food making process.

This layout took me 10 minutes to make!
I took the photos with my cellphone and e-mailed them to myself.
Then I opened up Karla Dudley’s template (which had the exact number of frames I needed!!!)
I clipped all the photos in place and wrote down my process. You may also add the actual recipe…

Have you managed to document an entire week in your life? If, not, give a try to documenting only one piece of your daily life.

Inspiration Prompt – Live With Courage, Zeal and Love

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Happiness wanders off sometimes. You go to sleep happy and jolly and wake up to a gloomier day. Or you can drive happily to the office, whistling along with your favorite song, then take a phone call that deflates you of any positive thought you’ve had.

Happiness? Gone.

Day? Ruined and dragged.

What can you do about it? You can smile and stay mindfully optimistic. But sometimes it isn’t enough or just isn’t working.

In those days you dig deeper into your core meaning of life and find what are the things you care most about and you focus on them and keep on going at 120 mph. Concentrate only on what’s important and forget about everything which is not.

Be zealous and courageous about everything you love and care about and apathetic about the rest, as the Scottish writer had articulately phrased:

“I had looked for happiness in fast living, but it was not there. I tried to find it in money, but it was not there, either. But when I placed myself in tune with what I believe to be fundamental truths of life, when I began to develop my limited ability, to rid my mind of all kinds of tangled thoughts, and fill it with zeal and courage and love, when I gave myself a chance by treating myself decently and sensibly I began to feel the stimulating, warm glow of happiness, and life for me began to flow like a stream between smooth banks.”

Journaling Prompt – Tell me What Are Your Pet Peeves And I’ll Tell You Who You Are

Pet Peeves

Every person has his or her pet peeves. I am talking about a minor annoyance that seems innocent at first glance but pretty soon makes you want to pull your hairs out.

When I am talking about pet peeves I am referring to those small things that drives you crazy, but no one else gets it. You can look at something, all annoyed and mad and a very poor* bystander would be clueless as for what are you fussing about.

*[This bystander isn’t the luckiest on earth as you are about to throw a tantrum at him]

I HATE injustice, lies, racism, chauvinism, hatred and such – but these are not pet peeves. These are common evils (which are, unfortunately, widely spread across the globe).

Saying that, I also HATE when someone leaves the dishes’ scrubbie inside the sink. It drives me c-r-a-z-y. It changes the way I look at that poor person from that day on… It’s totally insane, I know – this is why it is one of my pet peeves.

For this week’s journaling prompt I ask you to make a list of your pet peeves. Make your little (or rather long…) list of goofiness and let your gran-grand-children a glimpse to your inner world. A sneak peek into the small details that no one is ever going to know about you, unless you share them with the world.

What are your pet peeves? Leave a comment and share your quirkiness – I did…

[I bet I have the weirdest pet peeves ever]
