Alexandra is an extraordinary keeper of past memories and creator of future ones.

She has a great eye for enchanting photography.

She has fabulous style that shines through her striking layouts and cards.

She has a one-of-a-kind soul that is conveyed by her beautiful words – both in English and in French.

Alexandra is extraordinary.

Fancy Schmancy labels - Alexandra
[Distressed frame is from Digi Essentials 11 by Karla Dudley.]

Alexandra sent me these pictures of a layout she created, using the Fancy Schmancy labels I shared last week. Leave it to Alexandra to take regular labels and make something that is nothing short of an art masterpiece with them.

She desaturated the colors of the label with Photoshop and after printing and cutting them, she misted the label a bit to give it more depth and a vintage touch – or in other words, the Alexandra touch.

I love what Alexandra did with my labels. She made them her own.

Friday Freebie – December Daily Labels

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

December Daily LabelsThis week I am sharing a special set of FREE December Daily labels with you guys (for personal use only).

On the rare case you don’t already know, December Daily is a wonderful idea, initiated and developed by the awesome Ali Edwards. The idea is to capture and record the special festivities and customs of the month of December on a daily basis, while preparing the foundation for the album in advance.

I hope this set will be useful for you if you decide to jump on the “December Daily” bandwagon… You can easily cut the circle labels with a 1″ circle punch.

To download it simply click on the image (or the link) and if it doesn’t work try to right-click on it and opt for the “save target as…” option (it may be phrased a bit differently on different operating systems – but do NOT opt for the “save image as” option, as you will get the low resolution tiny preview image).

Make sure you didn’t miss the rest of the free printables on Creativity Prompt.

How are you going to create a December Daily album this year? Did you make one last year or the year before? Please leave a comment and share.

Freebie – Printable Journaling Labels

Friday, October 30th, 2009

What can I say? Life happens.

I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but for the past 3 months my husband and I have decided to transform our lives into healthier ones. Non of us was really heavy but we were gaining weight – little by little – and feeling bad, both physically and emotionally.

Weight can really creep up on you. From being a skinny teenager that eats chocolate non stop and only seem to get smaller, you become an adult that can gain weight from merely standing in close proximity to food. That’s life.

So we took control over our bodies, started eating healthier (that doesn’t mean less food. It means healthier, more nutritious food) and we wake up each day at 6:30 a.m. and go together to the gym for a strenuous workout that includes both aerobic and weight training.

We see results. GREAT results (especially my beautiful husband).

But every once in a blue moon we have a day in which we feel more tired and energy-less than usual.

This is such a day. So there will be no free tutorial this week.

HOWEVER – I am not missing a tutorial without leaving something nice for you guys instead. So I am including a freebie printable journaling labels for my fabulous readers to play with (right click on the link and opt for the ‘save link as…” option).

Just print on cardstock and cut out with scissors. I used cream colored cardstock and it looked great on it.

Print as many as you want for personal use only.

If you print out and use these labels please leave a comment and tell me if you liked them. Thank you!
